Dell Technologies Korea (CEO Kim Kyung-jin) unveiled the “Dell Precision 7875 Tower” on the 17th, a tower workstation based on AMD processors optimized for AI workloads.

A tower workstation is a PC used in fields that require high-performance computing tasks and refers to a PC that offers extremely high performance compared to a typical desktop or laptop computer. In the United States, this product line starts at $1,839 (2.38 million won).

The Dell Precision 7875 Tower features a chassis that offers improved airflow compared to the previous generation and the latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX processor. It is also equipped with up to 96 cores, making it suitable for processing AI workloads (the amount or type of work a computer or server needs to process). Dell explained: “This is a family of workstations optimized for data-intensive graphics work” and “This new product supports real-time rendering, movie production, design analysis , architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) simulation and visualization. » Additionally, it smoothly runs complex AI workloads such as AI model training, generative AI, and machine learning.

The Dell Precision 7875 Tower supports two 48GB AMD Radeon™ PRO W7900 or 48GB NVIDIA RTX™ 6000 Ada Generation GPUs, up to 56TB of storage and 2TB of DDR5 memory. NVIDIA AI Enterprise is also supported. To implement optimized performance for user usage patterns, “Dell Optimizer for Precision” software based on machine learning technology is also installed.

Additionally, it offers multi-GPU capabilities thanks to an increased PCIe slot compared to the previous model. It’s also the first to come with a built-in Wi-Fi slot. Dell explains that flexible use of the system is possible. Dell added that data security is enhanced with a locking chassis design featuring Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, self-encrypting drives (SED) and intrusion detection.

CEO Kim Kyung-jin said, “Now that generative AI is a hot topic, workstations are becoming important as devices that can create generative AI models locally quickly and safely,” adding : “The “Dell Precision 7875 Tower” is suitable for complex and complex applications. data-intensive workloads. “As a global leader in workstations, we will continue to innovate to carefully meet the needs of our customers. »
